Today Colleen and I (Riley) are sitting by the rats. Mr. Stout read more of Robin Hood to us this morning. It was about how Little John battled the Cook and the Cook joined the Merry Men.
In Technology, our "do now" was "Write what you know about volcanoes". Next, we are filling in
the Volcano Worksheet using "build a volcano". We're using it to tell the volcano type, the description, the gas (high or low), type of magma (high or low viscosity), size description, and examples. We got to
set the gas and viscosity, and find out what kind of volcano it was; then watch it erupt.
Now we are switching for math. We played Jepordy and had to answer math questions. Table #3 won. Mrs. Rimmer checked Review 1.
In science we studied volcanoes. There are Cinder Cone volcanoes, and Strato or Composite volcanoes. We also watched a slideshow and video about volcanoes. The video was about the top 10 volcanoes in the world. We also reviewed the study guide for our geology test next Tuesday.
In language arts we are writing about what day we think we should've been born (or the day we fit under). Also, Mrs. Wheeler is asking people to come up to the carpet so she could see and listen to our fear stories.
That is the end of the day!
